Saturday I got to be a tourist in my home city and it was awesome! I did so many fun thing that I had never done before and had a blast. It’s amazing what you can get into and learn about the place you grew up if you just take some time to enjoy it. I had an awesome planner (Thanks, Rob) and didn’t have to worry about a thing. We started the day out getting carry out from Adriatico’s in Clifton and heading to Bellevue Hill Park to eat lunch. It had such a cool view of the city and from a totally different perspective that I had never seen. (Pix below)

After the park we headed to Eden Park to the Cincinnati Art Museum. This was a cool spot. So much to see and explore. Best part is it’s free except for parking! It was a blast.

Z passed out on us so we took him to meet Rob’s sister. We then headed back downtown and walked around Fountain Square and strolled through the infamous Tiffany & Co. Always a favorite spot of mine! We headed up to the top of the Carew Tower which I had only done once and it had been years. It was a gorgeous day and the sites were beautiful! The plus side to this was it only cost $2!

We got some Starbucks and walked around Macy’s then went to check into our hotel, The Marriott Residence Inn. It was gorgeous!! We went to dinner at Jeff Ruby’s Carlo and Johnny and it is a must try! I am not much of a steak girl but this was wonderful. The service was amazing and it was great atmosphere.

After dinner we headed to Newport and hung out at Gangsters a local dueling piano bar. What a blast this was! I had been wanting to try this for a while and glad I had the chance. They were really good! It was also a nice mixed crowd of people too.

All in all we had an amazing day taking in our own city! I highly recommend you do this in your OWN city or check out Cincinnati! It has come a long way in the last 7 years I have been gone. Thanks again to Rob for planning an awesome weekend! It was amazing.
