I will be traveling though Thanksgiving with no access to the internet so I thought I would write an early Thanksgiving blog.
I can’t believe it’s already this time of year. This year has just flown by! But wow is there so much to be thankful for.
I have met the most amazing man this past year. I have been so blessed to have met someone who brings out the best in me and makes me want to do and be better. I have come to realize who my true friends are and how lucky I am to have figured that out now instead of wasting my time on those people and things that don’t matter. I have learned some very valuable lessons. Lessons on family, work, health. All great things that I am glad I am figuring out at the age of 30 and not 50.
I get to spend this holiday with my grandparents, my mama, my aunt, my sisters, and Neumann. Missing my stepfather of course bc he is currently deployed until after the first of the year. I am thankful for him and his service to this country. We are blessed.
My latest phrase has been, “life is an adventure.” Whenever things seem to be rough, tough or even amazing, I always go back to, “life is an adventure.” I am a true optimist at heart. This doesn’t always work for me but I try to always stay positive. I sometimes end up hurt or maybe I find myself lucky on occasion. But, I have been though so many up’s and down’s in my life. I wouldn’t be where I am or who I am without them. God is good and has taken me places I never dreamed and healed me beyond anything I could imagine. I am thankful that I can wake up and live another day. There is so much good around and where there isn’t we should do our best to spread a little good. Be the change. Another phrase I often go back too. We live in the best country in the world ( for now). And we should not take that for granted. Wake up everyday blessed, thankful, and full of love. And go out and share that love with everyone around. You never know what someone might be going through. Your smile or kind words could be a game changer for them.
Be thankful. Everyday.
